I was born in Claremont, California, a small sunny college town in the foothills northeast of Los Angeles. At age eight I vividly remember sitting in Mrs. Warren’s second grade class creating sculptures from clay, writing poetry in a wide-ruled journal and illustrating comic books. Those early works were light on quality and heavy on copyright infringement, but in their creation I felt a real sense of accomplishment stemming from the act of creation.

That feeling drove me to hone my craft through years of experience as a freelance artist and in-house designer and to create the art-for-charity organization Winter Is On My Head. I experience that same feeling of accomplishment with every logo I design, every album I illustrate, and every website I launch.

I believe that the core of every good design is effective communication. The best visual solutions bring people and ideas together. I strive for beauty and quality in my work, not for their own ends, but because beauty draws people in and quality builds trust.

If you have something of value to offer, people should know about it. I would love to help you communicate it. Below you can read some of the words clients have shared about their experiences working with me. If you are interested in collaborating on or commissioning work, or if you have a question or a comment I would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
Tim Bauer
Designer, Illustrator, Artist

“Tim does a fantastic job at creating not only aesthetically beautiful work, but also graphics that creatively engage with the content of your event. His work has dramatically increased attendance at conferences I’ve organized, and I am always asked about my graphic designer. I highly recommend Tim, especially for events seeking to attract not just the eye but the mind of the participant.”

“I have worked with Tim on several projects. He has designed many of my CD covers. He is very professional and has taken care of everything from the design to getting the files to the duplicating company. This was a huge stress off of my shoulders.

His artwork speaks for itself. He has an amazing gift at listening to my music and then translating it to a visual representation. I often get asked who did my art work and if they can buy prints of it. Tim is a gifted and professional artist and designer.”

“It is rare to find someone like Tim, an artist who can reach into your creative imaginings and express them in a way that your own words could not communicate. I consider Tim to be one of the most creative people I have ever worked with, a big reason why I continue to work with him. His innovative nature and posture of serving the client make him a pleasure to work with. You will not regret working with such a creative mind and genuine person.”

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tim on several different projects. His ability to take an abstract idea from concept to culmination is difficult to find, and is the very reason I always return to him with my design needs. He is incredibly skilled technically (which is great) but even more importantly he is an artistic visionary able to surprise and inspire. Tim is prompt, and consistently creates beyond my expectation.”
